At T-CATT, we provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. Our team of licensed clinicians specializes in using evidence-based assessment tools to deliver accurate, thorough, and developmentally informed evaluations tailored to each individual’s needs.

We offer the following evaluation services:

  • Psychosocial and Diagnostic Evaluations – to clarify emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, or OCD

  • Psychoeducational Evaluations – to better understand learning differences, attention concerns, and academic strengths and challenges

  • Gifted Testing – for school placement or enrichment programming, including IQ testing and personalized feedback

  • Autism Evaluations – using gold-standard tools to assess for autism spectrum disorder and provide recommendations for support

Our evaluations are designed to help families gain clarity, advocate effectively, and access appropriate services and interventions. We collaborate closely with parents, schools, and other care providers to ensure results are meaningful and actionable.

At T-CATT, we believe that assessment is not just about identifying challenges—it’s about understanding the whole person and uncovering the why behind the behaviors.

Psychosocial & Diagnostic

At The Center for Assessment and Transdiagnostic Treatment (T-CATT), we offer comprehensive psychosocial and diagnostic assessments for individuals seeking clarity about their emotional and behavioral functioning. These evaluations are ideal for those with complex clinical presentations or overlapping symptoms—such as anxiety, OCD, tics or Tourette’s, mood difficulties, or emotion regulation challenges.

Unlike psychoeducational testing, these assessments do not focus on cognitive or academic abilities. Instead, they center on understanding an individual’s emotional profile, symptom patterns, and diagnostic picture through:

  • A comprehensive diagnostic interview with the individual and/or caregivers

  • Standardized questionnaires and screeners to assess emotional, behavioral, and social functioning

  • A detailed case conceptualization that explores how symptoms interact and what may be maintaining them

  • A clinical summary and diagnostic impressions to inform treatment planning

These assessments are recommended for:

  • Individuals preparing to begin therapy at T-CATT (required as part of our intake process)

  • Families seeking diagnostic clarity without the need for cognitive or academic testing

  • Individuals planning to pursue therapy or psychiatric care elsewhere, but who want a clear understanding of their mental health profile

  • Providers or families requesting a written report to guide outside care or school planning (available upon request)

Whether you’re navigating multiple diagnoses, uncertain about the source of your symptoms, or simply seeking a roadmap for next steps, this type of evaluation can provide the clarity and direction you need.

Psychoeducational

At T-CATT, we offer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults aged 6 and above. These evaluations are designed to identify learning strengths and challenges, uncover the root causes of academic or attention difficulties, and provide clear, individualized recommendations for school and home.

Who are these for?

  • Struggling with reading, writing, or math

  • Showing signs of inattention, distractibility, or poor organization

  • Working hard but not performing at the level expected

  • Becoming frustrated, anxious, or discouraged in school

What’s Included in a Psychoeducational Evaluation:

  • A comprehensive clinical interview with parents or caregivers

  • Standardized cognitive testing to assess learning potential, problem-solving, memory, and processing speed

  • Academic achievement testing to identify strengths and areas needing support

  • Behavioral and emotional screeners to assess focus, motivation, and social-emotional functioning

  • A detailed written report with diagnostic impressions (if applicable), learning profiles, and personalized recommendations for interventions, accommodations, or enrichment

  • A feedback session to review results and answer all of your questions

We work closely with families and schools to ensure that our evaluations are not only accurate, but also actionable—empowering you to advocate for the support your child needs to succeed.

Autism/Developmental Testing

At The Center for Assessment and Transdiagnostic Treatment (T-CATT), we provide comprehensive autism evaluations for individuals across the lifespan—from toddlers to adults. Our clinicians use gold-standard assessment tools, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule–Second Edition (ADOS-2), to ensure accurate, research-based diagnoses that guide meaningful next steps.

We specialize in identifying autism in:

  • Toddlers and preschoolers who may not be meeting language or social milestones, have limited eye contact or shared play, or show intense interests or sensory sensitivities

  • School-aged children who may have social difficulties, rigid routines, big emotional reactions, or trouble understanding social cues

  • Adolescents and adults who may mask their symptoms, struggle with friendships, feel socially different, or have long-standing challenges with flexibility and communication

Autism evaluations are tailored to the individual's needs, but in general involve the following:

  • A comprehensive clinical interview with parents or caregivers

  • Standardized cognitive testing to assess learning potential, problem-solving, memory, and processing speed

  • Gold-standard ASD testing (e.g., ADOS-2) to assess social communication, social-emotional reciprocity, and the presence of restricted or repetitive behaviors

  • Behavioral and emotional screeners to assess focus, motivation, and social-emotional functioning

  • Asessment of adaptive functioning to assess an individual's independence in daily living and self-care skills

  • A detailed written report with diagnostic impressions (if applicable), learning profiles, and personalized recommendations for interventions, accommodations, or enrichment

  • A feedback session to review results and answer all of your questions

Whether you’re a parent seeking answers, a teen exploring your identity, or an adult wondering if autism explains your experiences, our goal is to provide clarity, support, and actionable recommendations.

Our evaluations are collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and developmentally tailored to each age group. We believe that understanding how a person thinks, feels, and communicates is the first step toward helping them thrive—in school, at home, and in life.

Gifted Testing

At T-CATT, we offer gifted evaluations for children who may benefit from advanced academic programming, school-based gifted placement, or enrichment opportunities.

Who Is Gifted Testing For?

Gifted testing is appropriate for children who:

  • Show advanced language, reasoning, or problem-solving skills

  • Learn quickly and need more intellectual challenge

  • Are being considered for gifted or accelerated school programs

  • Demonstrate strong abilities that may not be fully recognized in a typical classroom

Parents, teachers, or schools may refer a child for gifted testing to determine if they meet criteria for gifted placement or simply to gain a clearer understanding of their cognitive strengths.

What Does a Gifted Evaluation Involve?

Our gifted evaluations typically include:

  • A brief parent intake to gather background information

  • Administration of a standardized intelligence test (such as the WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, depending on age)

  • Immediate verbal feedback following the evaluation

  • A written report that includes IQ scores, interpretation of results, and recommendations for school or enrichment

We provide gifted testing for children as young as preschool-age through adolescence, using evidence-based tools and a child-friendly approach. Our goal is to help families and schools better understand a child’s learning profile and ensure they are supported and challenged in the right ways.
