About Us
Our goal is to help clients learn how to navigate their strong emotions and face situations that they have previously avoided or endured with great distress due to strong emotions such as fear, anxiety, sadness, or anger. We strive to help our clients to engage fully in their lives, learn to accept the emotions that come and go, and learn coping skills to last a lifetime. We also aim to help caregivers to support their children in this journey and to learn their own skills for managing the stress of parenting children with big emotions. If this sounds like the right fit for you, please reach out to us.

Our Story
We are two licensed psychologists who met in graduate school, connected by a shared passion for evidence-based care, and have been walking parallel paths ever since. After years of clinical training, collaboration, and community work, we joined together to form a practice committed to providing high-quality, transdiagnostic mental health care in South Florida as well as virtually, across PSYPACT participating states.
Dr. Niza is based in Miami and Dr. Jamie in Boca Raton—two vibrant communities that reflect our cultural roots. We bring lived experience and cultural humility to our work. We understand the importance of tailored care that respects identity, language, family systems, and the values that shape emotional well-being.
We were fortunate to train under Dr. Jill Ehrenreich-May, the developer of the Unified Protocol for Children and Adolescents (an evidence-based CBT and mindfulness-oriented treatment that takes an emotion-focused approach); her mentorship deeply shaped our clinical techniques. We believe in the power of transdiagnostic treatment to address the core emotional and behavioral patterns that underlie a wide range of struggles—from anxiety and mood concerns to stress, perfectionism, frustration, and interpersonal conflict.
Together, we created this practice to offer accessible, compassionate, and scientifically grounded therapy to individuals and families in our community.
